IACIT Announces Strategic Partnership with Thales and Meteomatics

The agreement focuses on the development and expansion of the meteorological drone market.

IACIT strengthens its market position by establishing a strategic collaboration with renowned defense company Omnisys, a Thales Group subsidiary, and Meteomatics, a Swiss leader in advanced meteorological solutions. Together, these companies are well-positioned to drive innovation and excellence in the weather drone segment in Brazil.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the prestigious SpaceBR Show 2024, a leading event in Latin America that brings together aerospace technology professionals and experts. This strategic agreement represents a significant milestone in the companies' commitment to developing and expanding the weather drone market in the country.

This collaboration between IACIT, Omnisys, and Meteomatics promises to offer innovative and high-quality solutions for weather monitoring and forecasting, thus contributing to the safety and efficiency of aerospace operations in Brazil.

Strategic Agreement

Headquartered in Switzerland, Meteomatics is a leader in weather intelligence, focusing on high-resolution commercial weather forecasting, wind, solar, and hydroelectric power generation forecasting, and lower atmosphere weather data collection using Meteodrones, meteorological drones developed and manufactured by the company.

Thales is a leading provider of products and services for the Defense, Security, and Aerospace sectors. In Brazil, the group has a long history of partnerships with the Armed Forces and operates three factories - one of which, in São Bernardo do Campo, is dedicated exclusively to Defense and Avionics activities.
