
The commissioning services offered by IACIT aim to assure that the equipment, systems and installations, object of a contract, are in conditions to comply with the requirements established by the client.
Those services are part of a systematic and documented program of quality assurance, to demonstrate that the solutions were rightly constructed and that operate, interactive and continuously, in conformity with the intentions documented in the project and in accordance to the needs of the proprietary client. They can comprise the phases of project, production, construction, installation and use.
The real performances of the objects are compared with the requirements and specifications and the points requiring corrections are identified. They may include the tests of equipments and systems, in a interactive and functional way.
The commissioning services can be applied in two main situations:
- When the client acquired products and installations from third parties: an independent commissioning services provider is then necessary, capable to assure that the required results are being guaranteed. In this case, IACIT can offer its technical and organizational capabilities for the follow-up, survey and inspection during all the provisioning, up to the systems operation.
- When the client acquired the products and services from IACIT: the survey will be done by the client or by a representative. In this case, IACIT will execute the tests and trials, in factory and on site, in way to attend the requirements established by the client, supplying the documents with the obtained results.
The commissioning services are independent from the other services of project, construction, installation and test of equipment and systems, as they are executed in parallel, aiming to assure that the requirements are being considered and that they will be accomplished at the end of the execution.
The main commissioning activities can be:
- Preparation of the requirements and standards documentation applied to the project and execution.
- Preparation of procedures documentation for the adjusting, calibration, tuning and configuration of the equipment.
- Preparation of procedures documentation for inspection, survey, test and validation, in factory and on site.
- Verification and report of the standards and requirements during all steps of the project.
- Follow-up and report of the critical stages of project, production and execution of services.
- Follow-up and report of the correct application of the test procedures, in factory and on site.
- Verification and report of the contractual obligations accomplishment.
- Execution and report of the inspection and survey installation procedures.
- Execution and report of the test procedures of the functional performance.
- Execution and report of the inspection procedures of the installation project and “as built” documentation, and of the operation and maintenance technical manuals.
- Follow-up and verification of the training courses quality.
- Support to the issuance of the factory and field terms of acceptance.
- Assisted operation:
· Follow-up and practical orientation during the initial period of operation by the client.
· Correction of the equipment and installations infant failures.
