The VOR 0100 station is a Theta radio navigation system intended to provide azimuth information to flying aircraft. It has been designed to be completely modular, with a high degree of commonality among its modules and components.
The VOR 0100 uses modern, sturdy packaging techniques resulting in a compact product which is ideal for fixed base or transportable use. The equipment’s high degree of modularity, use of memorized alarms, fault indication, associated front panel test points and integrated monitoring simplify troubleshooting.
The electronic equipment operates directly from an uninterruptible DC power supply consisting of a charger/rectifier and a bank of batteries. AC Mains failure will not affect operation of the VOR, however detection and indication of power source status are provided locally and remotely.
The VOR 0100 has been designed for unattended operation in remote locations and is normally supplied with dual transmitters and dual monitors with automatic main/standby transfer capability.
